“Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains,”
Antioxidant levels are the simplest way to measure Physical/Mental/Emotional health.
New and continued research including the Yale School of Public Health and Cancer Center has show that measuring antioxidant levels is significant in improving your health and wellness today and preventing disease down the road in Adults, Kids, and even the older population.
What is an Antioxidant(carotenoid)?
The body’s natural defense mechanism. Antioxidants are natural substances (chemical compounds) that work in a number of different ways to protect our cells from free radical damage.
Carotenoids are organic pigments found in fruits and vegetables that are primarily responsible for giving them their red, orange and yellow colours. The more colourful fruits and vegetables you eat, the more carotenoids you give to your body, the higher your SCS will be.
What are Free Radicals?
Free radicals are molecules with one or more unpaired electron that naturally look to steal that missing electron from healthy cells in the body. Examples of free radicals include: Cigarette smoke, pesticides, and even disease.
Free radicals arise as byproducts of the body’s natural metabolic process also.
What is Oxidative Stress?
Think… Rust! Rust is oxidation of iron when exposed to water and oxygen. A natural process. Oxidative Stress is also a natural process when your body uses oxygen to create energy in the cell’s mitochondria. It is made exponentially worse by introducing additional free radicals to the equation from substances or from the environment.
Our body is constantly under that attack from oxidative stress and free radicals which damage cells and contribute to ageing and disease.
They are formed from;
BAD DIET, ILLNESS, CIGARETTE SMOKE
EXCESSIVE Sunlight, ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS, & CHEMICALS
Chronic Stress, LACK OF EXERCISE & SLEEP

What does research say about Antioxidant levels and Physical/Mental/Emotional health?
Science, science, science
Knowing your oxidative stress level reveals your unique risk of disease, illness, and results of aging.
